  • Log a call with either of the following:
  • When reporting, please give the number visible on the street pole(s) which is/are out of order, alternatively, please give the nearest house (number & street address) to assist the people who need to fix the street light(s) by saving them time on finding the correct one(s).
  • Always request a reference number and keep it safe for escalation (if it is required).
  • Turn around times:
    • Suburbs streets: 7 working days before escalation to Councillor if not fixed.
    • Main roads: 14 working days before escalation to Councillor if not fixed.
    • Kindly Note: They are often fixed in a much shorter time by City Power.

    • Check DV board if power has tripped
    • Check if your prepaid unit need to be loaded
  • Always report power issues ASAP

  • Turn around times:
    • Home Outage: 6 hours then only we can escalate
    • Area Outage: Councillors are always aware and updates community when they get updates.
      • Kindly Note: ETR are never given in the case of area outages as City Power needs to find the source of fault and in order to fix it.
